Biographical Information 

Sarah Warren grew up in Willowbrook, Illinois, as a standout in speedskating and soccer. In speedskating, a sport she started at age 13, she competed at age 15 in short track at the Youth Winter Olympic Games Innsbruck 2012, finishing fourth in the 500m. In addition to heading three junior world championships in speedskating, Warren played college soccer at Illinois.

Warren struggled with injuries throughout her career. She tore her ACL twice and underwent four surgeries while playing college soccer.  Warren made her first U.S. national team in 2022 and made her world championships debut in 2024, winning a silver medal with teammates Erin Jackson and Brittany Bowe in a team sprint, an event not currently on the Olympic program.

Off the ice, Warren graduated from the University of Illinois in 2019 with a major in bioengineering and a minor in chemistry. She is currently pursuing a master's in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
