Biographical Information

Lily Dhawornvej's snowboarding journey began early through family influence, when her uncle Tim, a former snowboard instructor at Copper Mountain, introduced both Lily and her brother Caleb to the sport. The siblings proved to be natural talents from the start, routinely competing against each other in friendly rivalry that pushed both to higher levels of performance. Through the Team Summit academy program, Dhawornvej honed her technical abilities, demonstrating particular aptitude for spinning in all four directions and riding switch—skills that would become hallmarks of her competitive style.

During the 2024-25 season, Dhawornvej secured her first world cup podium with a second-place finish at a slopestyle competition and accumulated eight top 10 finishes on the NorAm circuit, including a second-place result in Aspen. At the 2024 FIS Junior World Championships, she placed fifth in slopestyle and sixth in big air, showcasing her versatility across disciplines. Her impressive performances throughout the season earned her promotion from the U.S. Snowboard Rookie Team to the Pro Team ahead of the 2025-26 season.

At the Copper Mountain X Games qualifier in December 2024, she placed second in Next X and third in Street Style Pro, earning her spot at X Games Aspen 2025. In her X Games debut, the 15-year-old captured bronze in the women's snowboard Knuckle Huck with creative tricks including tame dogs off the nose and a backside Miller flip double hand drag.

Beyond her competitive achievements, Dhawornvej proudly represents the Asian American snowboarding community through her involvement with Soy Sauce Nation, an organization dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in the sport.
