Biographical Information
Konnor Ralph first strapped on skis at age 2 on his local mountain, Great Divide, and began competing at age 10. Ralph transitioned to park skiing around age 12 after exhausting all other features on his home mountain, quickly discovering his passion for the discipline's blend of aerial acrobatics and rail tricks.
Ralph's competitive career accelerated rapidly through his teenage years. He captured the 2017 USA Snowboard and Freeski Association National Championship in the railjam division for ages 10-13, announcing his arrival on the national scene. After consistently finishing near the top in Revolution Tour events and earning multiple podium finishes, he enrolled at Wy'East Mountain Academy in Mount Hood, Oregon, to further develop his skills. In 2021, at age 18, Ralph achieved a milestone by making the Stifel U.S. Freeski Team, becoming only the second Helena skier to qualify for the U.S. Ski Team since Rogers Little in 1972.
Since making an appearance on the national stage, Ralph has steadily climbed the competitive ranks. In 2024, Ralph earned his first world cup podium with a third-place finish in slopestyle at Tignes, France. The following season brought continued success, as Ralph captured his first big air podium and was crowned U.S. Big Air National Champion in February 2025. His breakout performance came at his X Games debut, where he finished fourth in men's slopestyle after laying down back-to-back 1600s with a triple cork on his final jump. Ralph's consistent improvement throughout the 2024-25 season earned him recognition as Most Improved by his U.S. Freeski Team teammates and staff, an honor that came with a $1,000 award.
Ralph qualified for his first Winter Olympics following strong performances, including a second-place finish at the Visa Big Air event and a fourth-place showing at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix. Ralph’s nomination to the Olympic stage in the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 has been not only an accomplishment for him, but for his community; he is the first Helena native to ski for Team USA. Ralph has been a member of the U.S. Ski Team since 2022, balancing his competitive career with his role at Armada Skis.
Ralph credits the Helena community with providing unwavering support throughout his journey from local ski hill to the world stage. When not training in Park City, Utah, or competing internationally, he enjoys returning to Great Divide to ski with friends and family. Ralph's favorite aspect of being on the U.S. Freeski Team is the opportunity to travel the world and experience different cultures, though he admits he's still working on improving his cooking skills.
