Olympic Qualifier Series Shanghai: Who is competing for Team USA

The Olympic Qualifier Series or "OQS" is a new two-part event that acts as a qualifier for the athletes in the sports of breaking, BMX freestyle, sport climbing and skateboarding. The first half of the event is in China from May 16-19. The final competition will be in Budapest, Hungary, from June 20-23.
Skateboarding - Street #
Skateboarding at each Olympic Qualifier series event accounts for 1/3 of the athletes points. 1/3 of their points will be from the OWSR rankings between the period of January 2022-March 2024, 1/3 points from OQS Shanghai, 1/3 points from OQS Budapest. Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 athletes per discipline, per gender. This means Team USA could have up to 12 skateboarders in Paris.

BMX Freestyle #
USA Cycling has four available quota spots at the OQS, two for each gender. These athletes will be competing for a maximum for 50 point at each event. Whoever has the two-highest scores on the team by the end of the competition will qualify for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Sport Climbing #
Sport climbing at the Paris 2024 Olympics allows a maximum of two athletes per gender, per discipline. USA Climbing has already qualified six athletes to the Games. There is one available spot on the Olympic roster for a female boulder and lead athlete and a male speed athlete.
