Biographical Information
Troy Podmilsak, born in Reston, Virginia, first started skiing at three years old on the Snowflex dry slope at Liberty University (Lynchburg, Virginia). His family later moved to Park City, Utah, and at age 12, he became the youngest person ever to complete the double cork 1440.
At age 17, Podmilsak won double gold in big air and slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships. A year later, he would win gold at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships in big air as he landed the world’s first triple 2160 mute. In 2024, he followed up his world title with his first X Games victory in big air.
He began the 2025-26 FIS World Cup with back-to-back wins in big air to qualify for his first U.S. Olympic team.
When he’s not skiing, Podmilsak enjoys golfing, eating pizza and bench pressing.
