• Spent a year in the Netherlands at SC Heerenveen before returning to the U.S. to play for the Columbus Crew in 2007
• Had a breakout performance at the 2007 Under-20 World Cup, demonstrating his speed and dangerous attacking flair as a key member of the squad that advanced to the quarterfinals
• Was voted as a starting midfielder in the 2008 MLS All-Star Game along with Olympic teammate Sacha Kljestan. At 21 years old, Rogers was the youngest player invited to play in the game.
