Erik Fisher grew up skiing, starting at age 3, and his competitive fire has taken him to success at every step of the development ladder. On the cusp of what looked to be a breakout season in 2008, Fisher blew his ACL before the first race of the year, but hit the slope back in 2009 landing a spot on the World Championships Team and consistently posting World Cup points. His 2005 Junior World bronze in downhill was just a sign of what was to come.

FIRST TRACKS

On skis by age 3, Fisher came through the Bogus Basin program and also competed in a variety of other sports before deciding to focus on racing. "Ski racing stood out to me because the constants are always changing - the hill, the conditions, the competition ... [I] had to learn how to adapt."

"Fish"...the only son among the four kids of Dave and Shelly Fisher...Grew up playing football and baseball until ski racing career conflicted with too many practices and games....Raced motocross until a crash broke my leg in five places and ended everything active for a year... Enjoy wakeboarding, ice hockey, road cycling, whitewater kayaking, cliff jumping, hunting and salmon fishing at grandpa's house in Alaska... Love spending time with the family's animals - two dogs, two horses and a fainting goat that was born on his birthday....Achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America...Think Idaho is the best place on earth to live...
