While Drury has gained plenty of attention for his skills in hockey, many people still remember him for his efforts in Little League. Despite the constant questions, he doesn't mind. "I'm actually very proud of it. I was really interested in it and I could talk about it with anybody for any amount of time. It was a big thrill for me and something I'll never forget."

• Member of Trumbull, Conn., baseball team that won 1989 Little League World Series. Drury pitched and earned the win vs. Taiwan in the championship game
• Brother is Ted Drury, a two-time member of the U.S. Olympic Team (1992, '94). His brother, Jim, played hockey at Lake Forest University
• Along with Ted, hosted sixth annual Travis Roy Golf Tournament in Orange, Conn., which raises funds for the Travis Roy Foundation
• Involved in the Drury Brothers' Charity Hockey Academy
• Boyhood idols were Don Mattingly and Michael Ferguson
• Worked with Colorado Special Hockey program in fall of 2001
• After winning the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche, his day with the Cup included a trip to the Yale/New Haven Children's Hospital back home in Connecticut, in addition to a visit with former teammate and friend, Travis Roy, who suffered a spina
• Named Connecticut's Male High School Athlete of the Year his senior year by the Connecticut Post
