Son of Jean and Thomas Barrows...Has one brother, Ian...Began sailing at age 5 and racing at age 8...Grew up sailing in Marblehead, Massachusetts...Represented his native U.S. Virgin Islands at the 2008 Olympic Games...Was a two-time captain at Yale University, where he was a four-time All-American and along with teammate Thomas Barrows, won the 2009 Fowle Trophy, awarded annually to the top collegiate sailing team...Recipient of the College Sailor of the Year Award (2009-10) and Yale’s Neely Mallory Award, given annually to “the senior man who, on the field of play and in his life at Yale, best represents the highest ideals of American sportsmanship and Yale tradition.”
