Formerly played football and basketball at Golden West College in addition to competing in track and field
Competed on the varsity track team for two seasons qualified for state in the 200-meter and 400-meter sprints and was named Second Team All-Region and All-State Honorable Mention his junior season. His senior season, he was a regional qualifier in the 200m and 4x100m and was named All-State Honorable Mention.
