Bofinger began swimming before she could walk. At age six, she joined the Frederick Area Swim Team in Frederick, Maryland. She was born with hip dysplasia and had her first surgery at 4 months old. She's since had a total of seven hip surgeries.

After overcoming alcohol and prescription drug addiction and mental abuse, Bofinger shares her experiences to motivated others through her work as a transformation coach. Her goal is to be a voice in the Paralympic Movement and show what is possible while helping people to become the best version of themselves.
