Robyn Stawski attended Winter Park High School (Winter Park, Fla.) and competed in swimming, which served as her introduction to U.S. Paralympics. In 2002, Stawski was challenged to consider competing in track and field, and from that point on never looked back. She graduated from the University of South Florida and Southeastern University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in public relations and journalism and competed in athletics at the college level for two years. Three years after graduation, Stawski traveled to Beijing to participate in her first Paralympic Games. Competing in three events, the women's discus F32-34/51-53, javelin F33/34/52/53 and shot put F32-34/52/53
Stawski currently works an adaptive sports coach at New Tampa YMCA. Off the field, she enjoys graphic design, educating others about competitive sports and disability issues, volunteering and hanging out with friends.
