Biographical Information
Penny Ricker grew up playing volleyball including playing for her high school varsity team in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A train incident in her senior year of college caused her right leg to be amputated above the knee.
Greeley would make her Paralympic debut at age 32 in sitting volleyball, winning a bronze medal at the Paralympic Games Athens 2004. Seven years later, after trying wheelchair basketball, Ricker made her first U.S. team for the wheelchair curling world championships in 2011.
Ten years after her Paralympic debut, she made Team USA in wheelchair curling and competed in her first Winter Paralympics.
