Quick Facts
- Nir-Kistler originally she chose table tennis as her sport and competed at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. In 2010 she switched to swimming. At age 20 she developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy, which mainly affects the nerves in her left hand. She was born in Israel but her family moved to Pennsylvania when she was 17. After two years her family moved back to Israel, but she decided to stay and became a U.S. citizen
- Daughter of Eliezer Nir and Nira Nir
- Has three older brothers, Yaron, Tal and Ofer, who all live in Israel
- Married to Fred Kistler
- Hobbies include spending time with family and friends, swimming, table tennis, walking/playing with her dog, Lobo, reading and listening to music.
