Margaret Redden has competed in the Junior National Wheelchair Championships since she was five years old. She was on the high school track team at Holy Family Academy for four years and was also on the Junior National Team that went to Australia in 2003. Redden graduated from Penn State University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in communications. At Penn State, she competed in track and field and competed in basketball for a year. She was on the Dean's List and was an Olympic Torch bearer in 2004. Currently, she still resides in State College, where she works in the Penn State Athletic Communications/Sports Information department.
