Began shooting at age three with his father and started competing at age 11...Nickname is KJ...A car accident in 1999 left Polish with a long road back to competitive archery...Polish returned to competition in 2000...After winning team gold at the 2005 World Archery Championships, Polish commented: “When I rolled up to the awards stand, and the national anthem played, at that time, I realized what the national anthem meant to me, and tears came to my eyes. That moment was the greatest day of my life.” ...His hobbies include archery, fishing, hunting, bowfishing, anything outdoors and helping others with archery.
