Quick Facts
  • Hensley had a stroke on Dec. 23, 2006 after training with his ODP team in Nashville during his freshman year of high school. He attempted to head the ball and flipped over an opponent, snapping his neck on the ground. He recovered but was left with some right side deficiencies and short-term memory issues. Hensley went on to continue playing with his high school, ODP team and in college. Growing up, he played every sport possible with his friends. One of his favorite gifts was a full-sized soccer goal his grandfather and uncle built him when he was in the 6th grade. He spent hours in the backyard, rain or shine, practicing to become a better player. He was invited to the national team camp in January 2014 after an ESPN article written about him in high school was seen by head coach Stuart Sharp
