Finton will be competing at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in the 100m (T51) as well as the 200m (T51). He hopes that at world championships he will make the “A” standard while competing, a significant boost in his attempt to qualify for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
He says that making the U.S. Paralympic Team is a “lofty goal that he set in the spring of 2006”.
Finton attended Sinclair Community College as well as Wright State University.
