Roberts was born with cerebral palsy, a condition caused by a stroke at birth that impairs her muscle coordination. She was encouraged by her high school coaches to compete in the ambulatory races at the Washington state track meet. Roberts ultimately connected with Teresa Skinner and David Greig, coaches of adaptive sport club ParaSport Spokane who were able to watch her compete. The following year, she became classified and competed at the Desert Challenge games, her first Para track and field competition. Roberts competes in the long jump, as well as the 100 and 200-meter events. She is currently being coached by Greig and trains with ParaSport Spokane.... Daughter of Kathleen Roberts…Has three siblings, Austin, Jordan and Kaitlyn…Aspires to become a middle school teacher and wrestling coach…Hobbies include listening to music and drawing…Started wrestling when she was in eight grade and competed at the state level for her high school…One of 16 residents in Kent, Washington to be appointed to the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission in 2014..
