Biographical Information
Jack Wallace was a five-sport athlete who competed in hockey, football, baseball, lacrosse and wrestling while growing up in New Jersey. At the age of 10, Wallace lost part of his right leg in a boating accident while on vacation. The following year, while he attended Camp No Limits, a camp for children and families dealing with limb loss, he discovered sled hockey and made his U.S. National Sled Hockey Team debut in 2016.
Wallace is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist with the U.S. sled hockey team, including being named best defenseman at the Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. The dual-sport athlete has also been a member of the U.S. Paracanoe national team since 2022. In 2024, he participated in the same week in the World Para Ice Hockey Championships in Canada and the ParaCanoe Championships in Hungary, where he attempted to qualify for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 in Paracanoe, falling just a few hundredths of a second short of achieving this goal.
When he is not competing in either sport, Wallace enjoys golf, cooking, playing guitar and spending time with his dog, Maggie, a rescue brindle pit bull mix.
