  • Adopted from Durrës, Albania by Deborah McFadden shortly after she was born
  • Born with a bone deformity in her left leg, she is an above-the-knee amputee. Hobbies include rock climbing, swimming, scuba diving, skiing, cooking, and volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club
  • At age 16, she was the youngest member of the U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Team at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, her first international meet
  • Competed with her sister Tatyana McFadden at the 2012 Games, marking the first time siblings have competed together in a Paralympic Games.
