Noah Malone grew up in Fishers, Indiana, and competed in track and field just like his father, Kyle, a collegiate sprinter. As a teenager, he developed Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (also known as LHON), a rare genetic disease that leads to central vision loss. As a result, Malone decided to try out Para track and field.
In 2019, Malone won an Indiana state title in the 200-meter and later that year made his debut for Team USA at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai, winning a gold medal in the first ever universal 4x100-meter relay, an event making its world championship debut. Malone would then attend Indiana State University, where he was an all-conference performer in the sprints.
Malone made his Paralympic debut at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, where Malone won three medals, including silver in both the men’s 100-meter and 400-meter events in the T12 classification. Three years later at the Paris Games, Malone would win three more medals, including his first individual Paralympic gold medal in the men’s 100m.
In 2025, Malone married Olympian Ariana Ramsey, who won a bronze medal as part of the U.S. women’s rugby team at the 2024 Paris Games.
