Biographical Information 

Grace Zumwinkle grew up in Minnesota and decided to try hockey in kindergarten after one of her friends brought a pamphlet about the sport to school. Zumwinkle would excel at hockey and other sports like golf and tennis in high school, and attended the University of Minnesota to play college hockey, where she finished her college career with 109 goals, becoming the sixth Gopher in program history to score 100 career goals.

Zumwinkle made her IIHF World Championship debut at the 2021 IIHF World Championships and made her Olympic debut the following year for the U.S. women’s hockey team at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, where they won a silver medal. 

Zumwinkle was drafted in the third round (13th overall) in the 2023 PWHL Draft and has spent her entire PWHL career with the Minnesota Frost. She is a two-time Walter Cup champion with Minnesota.
