Daughter of Scott and Teri Kerkhoff and has a younger brother, Brody...Her visual impairment is due to optic nerve atrophy since birth leaving her with 20/300 vision in her right eye and 20/400 vision in her left eye...In high school was the WaMac Conference 400m Champion all four years and was named the 2019 WaMac Female Track Athlete of the Year... She holds school records in the 4x400 and 400m with a PR of 57.54... She was a Drake Relays medalist in the 400m, Sprint Medley and 4x400... She is an 11-time state medalist including four medals in the 400m. She anchored the 4x400 relay to two state runner up finishes and her senior year anchored the 4x400 relay to a 3A State Championship... She was also named the recipient of the 2019 All Iowa Courage Award. Attends the University of Northern Iowa and is a member of the Division I Track & Field Team...Had a personal best Indoor 400m of 58.59 at the Black and Gold Premier in 2020 and a personal best Indoor 60 meters of 8.29 at the Wartburg Friday Night Lights Meet in 2021...In the 2021 Outdoor season ran a 58.29 in the 400m at the South Dakota Tune-Up and was a member of the 4x400 meter team that placed second with a time of 3:54.10 at the Illinois State Invitational...She is new to the Paralympics competing in her first event at the Desert Challenge in May 2021...At the Paralympic Trials she qualified for the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Team.
