Biographical Information
Ella Wendling was born into a curling family in Wisconsin. Her brother, Wesley, is also a U.S. national team member, and their father, Jim, coached both his children at Wausau West High School.
At age 17, Wendling represented Team USA at the Youth Winter Olympics Gangwon 2024 in mixed doubles with partner Benji Paral. They finished with a bronze medal, losing only one match the entire tournament. Her father, Jim, was the coach for Wendling and Paral during the tournament.
Ella Wendling was recognized by her fellow Team USA athletes and named the flag bearer for the Closing Ceremonies at the Youth Winter Olympics Gangwon 2024.
