David Cremin was born on October 15, 1989 in Vicenza, Italy. The native of Annandale, Virginia has a Bachelor's of Science in kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. While at UMASS, Cremin was a member of the crew team. He was a member of the soccer and cross-country teams in high school. His cousin, Steven Langton introduced him to the sport of bobsled after Langton competed in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
