Biographical Information

Chris Douglas was born with spina bifida and experienced a further spinal cord injury following surgery at age 11, which impaired the function of his legs from the waist down. Following his injury, he was introduced to sled hockey in 2011. 

A year after he started sled hockey, he would land a spot on the U.S. Development Team. Chris made his U.S. National Team debut in 2015 and has been part of seven world championship teams for U.S. sled hockey. 

Douglas moved to Minot, North Dakota from Florida in 2018. He now enjoys time on Lake Metigoshe, where he enjoys wakeboarding and fishing.
