Biographical Information
Azaria Hill grew up as the daughter of two Olympic medalists, Denean Howard-Hill in track and field, and Virgil Hill, Sr. in boxing. Hill earned a college scholarship as a sprinter at Long Beach State before finishing off her college career at UNLV, on the same team as future U.S. bobsled teammate and pilot Kaysha Love.
Hill made her bobsled debut for Team USA in November 2023, winning her first race in two-woman bobsled as college teammate Love piloted the team to a first-place finish in the North American Cup in Lake Placid, New York. Love and Hill would finish 4th at the two-woman bobsled at the 2024 IBSF World Championships.
Hill says about her family Olympic legacy: "They never forced me or my brother and sister to do sports ... I just knew ever since I was a little girl ... I wanted to be like my mom and aunt because they were both in the Olympics.”
