Richter was also an honorable mention Alabama All-State recipient, the Cullman Times Track Athlete of the Year in 2007 and county MVP. Alex Richter, who just finished his freshman year in college, was running track for Wallace State Community College when he was noticed by a Paralympic coach.  His first Paralympic experience has resulted in being named to the U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Team.
