Biographical Information
Aidan Oldenburg began curling at age 10. Growing up, his biggest audience might have come off the ice at the Minnesota State Fair where Oldenburg juggled flaming torches to "We Didn't Start the Fire" in a performance with his older brother that included a backflip.
The 2024-2025 season was a breakout year on the ice for Oldenburg as he finished third at the 2025 U.S. Olympic Trials in mixed doubles with partner Madison Bear along with as the lead for Team Casper as the lead finishing as the national runner-ups in men's curling.
Oldenburg has juggled his aspirations to become an Olympic curler with his life-long dream of becoming an environmental scientist. As a child, he would spend hours on projects involving animals and wildlife especially fish. Oldenburg graduated from Minnesota State, Mankato with bachelor's degree in ecology in 2022, where he was captain of the Mavericks' varsity Valorant esports team, and is now working as environmental scientist on permitting for wind and solar projects nationwide.
