Biographical Information
William Silk grew up in Butte, Montana, and first started skating at age 3. His dad, Dave, competed at the Olympic Winter Games Calgary 1988 for Team USA in speedskating and was a world bronze medalist at the World All-Around Championships in 1988.
William Silk became a two-time junior champion in the 5,000m before winning a bronze medal at the 2025 ISU World Junior Championships in mass start. The following season, he would make his World Cup debut in Salt Lake City.
Off the ice, Silk enjoys biking whenever he can.
