Biographical Information
Taylor Heise grew up in Lake City, Minnesota, a small town with just over 5,000 people. In the first grade, she found a note in my backpack about an opportunity to try hockey for free and fell in love with the sport.
Heise attended the University of Minnesota to play hockey, where she won the 2022 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, given to the top player in women's hockey. Heise was the first overall pick in the 2023 PWHL Draft, staying with her home state team, the Minnesota Frost. She is now a two-time Walter Cup winner with the Frost and was named the 2024 PWHL Playoffs MVP.
Heise would make her IIHF World Championship debut with the U.S. women's hockey team at the 2022 IIHF World Championships and, four years later, would be selected for her first Olympic team.
Off the ice, she learned to juggle as a kid when her dad offered $100 to the first of his children to learn the skill. Heise still uses her juggling skills today to center herself before hockey games.
