Biographical Information

Tabitha Peterson grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota and began curling at age 10. Her parents, a dentist and a dental hygienist, decided to join a curling league and at the same time signed up Tabitha and her younger sister, Tara, for a junior curling league in St. Paul. 

Peterson would win back-to-back junior national championships with her sister and a bronze medal representing Team USA at the 2010 junior world championships. 

Two years later, Peterson won her first national championship in women’s curling and finished fifth at her first world championships for Team USA. In 2016, Peterson would win the first medal for the United State at a mixed doubles world championships, a bronze medal with partner Joe Polo

Two years later, Peterson made her Olympic debut as the third for the U.S. women’s curling team that finished 8th. Following the Winter Olympic Games Pyeongchang 2018, Peterson would move to skip and won a bronze medal for Team USA at the 2021 world championships, the first medal for the Americans in women’s curling in fifteen years.

Since the move to skip, Peterson has won four national titles (2020, 2023-2025) and U.S. Olympic Trials prior to the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 where the U.S. finished sixth. Her fifth national title in 2025, she won three months after giving her birth to her first child, Noelle.

Outside of curling, Peterson works as a pharmacist following into healthcare profession like her parents.
