About Steve Lundeen:

Curl out of:  Granite Curling Club, Seattle

I picked up the game relatively late in life, but have had the opportunity to curl with some of the best, most experienced athletes at our club here in Seattle. I've made a point of trying to learn something from each of them, from the 9-year-old curling veteran who took me under his wing during my first year and taught me how to throw a take-out, to the 80-year-old grandmother, who taught me it's possible to win without the first-end hammer, provided you take the red rocks.

Who/What introduced you to Curling?
Television

Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Ron Santo

What is your career highlight to date?
With apologies for mention it (again) to my good friends and teammates Brady and Cristin Clark ... scoring a perfect 6-ender (with Mixed Doubles teammate Miyo Konno) against the Clarks at U.S. Nationals in Two Harbors, Minnesota, back in 2008.

What is the best advise you've ever received?
"Short is fine"

Person dead or alive you would most like to have dinner with?
My wife, Vanessa

Favorite Bands/Music?
Am still partial to just about anything that was played on WLS radio in Chicago in the mid-70s

What is your favorite Movie(s)?
Raising Arizona

Who was most influential in your curling development?
Wes Johnson

Where would you like to sped a week's vacation?
Traverse City, MI

What do you enjoy most about curling?
The chemistry of a successful shot. Four players, one rock.

Other Olympic sport you'd like to try?
Luge

Favorite Color?
Whatever color we're throwing, unless I happen to be curling on a rink skipped by Betty Kozai, in which case it is always red.
