Quick Facts

Ricky Ties has over 25 years of wrestling competition experience. He was a Minnesota State, High School Wrestling Championship finalist and achieved All American High School status in 2000. Ricky made a successful transition from Wrestling to Paralympic judo in 2014 when he won a gold medal at the USA Judo President's Cup for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Ricky trains twice daily to keep his physical condition at the highest level and trains twice weekly to improve his Judo skills. His goal is to earn a spot on the USA Judo Team that will compete at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
