Biographical Information

Reid Goble serves as a sighted guide for Jake Adicoff on the U.S. Para Nordic Ski Team, competing in the visually impaired classification for cross-country skiing events. A former collegiate skier at Michigan Technological University, where he majored in human biology, Goble developed the technical skiing foundation and competitive experience that prepared him for the demands of elite Para Nordic guiding.

Born and raised in Petoskey, Michigan, Goble grew up skiing the trails with his parents from a young age. His father skied in college, instilling a love for Nordic skiing that would define Goble's formative years. While attending Petoskey High School, he finished second at the Michigan Cross Country Ski High School Championships in 2017 and placed 14th and 18th at Junior Nationals that same year. During his high school summers, Goble occasionally traveled to Sun Valley, Idaho, where a tight-knit community of Nordic skiers trained. It was there that he first met Jake Adicoff, who grew up in Sun Valley and is a few years older than Goble.

Goble attended Michigan Technological University, where he became one of the program's standout Nordic skiers and pursued a human biology degree with plans to eventually attend medical school. He was named the men's Most Outstanding Skier twice, in 2020 and 2021, and earned All-CCSA First Team honors along with All-Region recognition in both classic and skate disciplines. Following graduation in 2021, Goble joined the Bridger Ski Foundation Pro Team in Bozeman, Montana, continuing to pursue his competitive skiing goals while working several healthcare jobs in preparation for medical school. In 2024, he competed in his first world cup events.

Goble and Adicoff competed for the first time together at the final world cup event of the 2023-24 season. The 2024-25 season solidified Goble and Adicoff's partnership as one of the strongest in Para Nordic skiing. At the 2025 FIS Para Cross-Country World Championships in Toblach, Italy, Adicoff and Goble won gold in the 10-kilometer classic race. Goble has served as one of Adicoff's primary guides throughout the competitive season, alongside Peter Wolter, with the two guides sharing duties across training camps and race events. In 2025, as Goble began applying to medical schools, he made a significant decision to wait a year before starting classes. In February 2026, Goble was officially named to the U.S. Paralympic Team as one of Adicoff's guides (alongside Peter Wolter) for the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
