    In December 2006, McCoy was serving in Iraq with the U.S. Army when he was returning on foot from patrol and an improvised explosive device hidden in a pile of rubbish detonated. His injuries led to him losing both of his legs below the knee. During his treatment he had an allergic reaction to the drug heparin, which led to heparin-induced thrombosis that caused nerve damage in his hands and left arm ...Began competing in athletes in 2011...Hobbies include music, fishing, cooking and traveling...Lives out in the country with his four dogs: Sarge, Top, DiNiro, and Avery...Loves comic book movies.
