  • Son of Bernard and Linda Wishnia, Wishnia is husband to Brittany Wishnia and father to Nathan and Brayden along with his best friend and service dog, Sammie
  • In 2011, Wishnia was injured while serving as a U.S. Marine Corps sergeant in Afghanistan when a combat explosion hurt his right leg
  • He is just starting his career as he learns how to adapt to life with new injuries
  • He grew up playing soccer, lacrosse and football and didn't pick up track and field until 2014
  • In his spare time, he enjoys working out and hunting. Wishnia hopes to develop a career in assisting other injured service members to show them life outside the injury.
