Massachusetts native Michael Morse started skiing as a youngster and enrolled in Vermont's Killington Mountain School in the eighth grade. With solid results in both moguls and duals, he's shown he could be one of the "young guns" helping the U.S. Ski Team maintain its dominance in moguls.
Morse pushed the envelope as he reeled in his first podium result in 2009. According to coaches he should be able to produce more of those results this winter as he puts his focus on working on speed and perfecting his current jumps in order to push for a spot in Vancouver. He has been working very hard at the Center of Excellence this summer.
On skis at age 3, Morse got a healthy education in moguls at Vermont's Killington Mountain School, which boasts of Olympic medalist (and ex-U.S. Coach) Liz McIntyre among those who skied there. After competing on the NorAm circuit for several seasons, he made U.S. coaches take notice in 2004 with NorAm podiums in both moguls and duals. He first hit the World Cup tour with the 2005 season.
