Born with amniotic band syndrome, Matthew was born missing half his right leg, with deformities on both hands and has moderate hearing loss...Began swimming in 2008 after watching Michael Phelps at the Beijing Games...Son of Gil and Martha Torres...Fan of the Patriots and Real Madrid...Hobbies include swimming and stock market trading.
