Personal
Marthell Vazquez says that competing in the London 2012 Paralympic Games is his biggest accomplishment to-date. He says playing in front of 10,000+ people was amazing, and he hopes it’s something he gets to do again in Rio 2016.

Soccer runs in the Vazquez family, as his uncle played professionally in Mexico in the 1980s. His brother also played college Soccer; his brother’s achievement has spurred him to work and train at a higher level to improve his playing skills.

His goal is to go back to college and become an x-ray technician. When not competing in soccer, Vazquez enjoys cooking, watching movies, and going to museums, beaches and theme parks.
