More
An injured high school football player out of a career, Martinez started attending his mother’s field hockey practices. He quickly picked up the game and was strongly encouraged to participate in the Futures Program. After 10 sessions of Futures he was referred to try-out for the Men's U-18 developmental squad and the rest was history. Martinez made his debut with the U.S. Men's National Team at World League Round I in Chula Vista, Calif. in November 2012, recording the first goal his career against Guatemala. When Martinez isn’t busy representing his country, he is fully dedicated to building the sport in his region through coaching numerous programs such as Futures, Coastal Clash, Chula Vista Elementary and East County Gators.
