Parents are Sue Dobson and Terry Hart...Has one sister, Katie, and one brother, Jordan...Got involved with the Paralympic movement in 1998 at a regional competition in Atlanta, Georgia where she decided to aim for international competition...Purchased her first horse and began to train for national and international competition...Born with a rare genetic disease called hereditary spastic paraplegia, a progressive impairment that causes muscle wasting and paralysis from the middle of the back down...Enjoys kayaking, sailing, camping and rock climbing...Works with the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Foundation to work toward bringing awareness about HSP and works with children dealing with HSP.
