Biographical Information
At the age of six, Mac Forehand followed his older sister into mogul skiing. The family would travel from Connecticut to Vermont to ski, before relocating to Vermont, so that both children could attend Stratton Mountain School, a ski academy founded in 1972 that has sent at least one athlete to the Winter Olympics since 1976. Forehand switched to slopestyle and park skiing at age 12 and quickly burst onto the scene as a teenager as one of the best in the world.
As a rookie on the U.S. ski team, Mac Forehand, at age 17, won the Crystal Globe in slopestyle. A few years later, he would make his Olympic debut at Beijing Games, finishing 11th in the big air and not qualifying for the slopestyle final. Since the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, Forehand has won four X Games medals including winning the big air event in 2023, his second Crystal globe in slopestyle for the 2023-24 season, and silver medal in slopestyle at the 2025 FIS Snowboard and Freeski World Championships.
