  • Cichocki began swimming at age five in 1993. Both of her sister were swimmers, influencing her to try the sport. She has an intellectual impairment that makes it difficult for her to process information and also experiences seizures. She made her senior international debut at the Toronto Parapan American Games where she won a gold and two bronze medals. She lists swim coach Jody Hottes as the most influential person in her career and her swim idol is Matt Grevers
