Biographical Information
Kendall Coyne Schofield started skating when she was three years old following her older brother, Kevin, to the ice hockey rink. Eventually her parents put her in figure skates, but that lasted about a week before Kendall told her parents she was going to play hockey. Kendall Coyne Schofield went to Northeastern University to play in college and led the Huskies to their first ever NCAA Tournament berth while winning the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Awards as the top player in women's college hockey.
Coyne Schofield has been a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team since 2011 and made her Olympic debut at the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2014. Coyne Schofield led the team is shots on goal during for their gold-medal run at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. In 2019, she became the first woman to compete in the National Hockey League's All-Stars skills competition, posting a time that seventh-fastest of eight competitors beating NHL All-Star Clayton Keller. At the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, Coyne Schofield captained the U.S. women's hockey team as they won silver.
Off the ice, Kendall married Michael Schofield, a nine-year NFL veteran, who was a Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos, in 2018. They had their first child, Drew, in 2023, and they run the Schofield Family Foundation focused on providing support to first responders, military members and families undergoing hardship.
