Despite her health challenges, Bounds started running at age 14 and has progressed quickly in the sport, using it as an escape. She earned a cross-country scholarship to Arkansas Tech University. She was sidelined with a stress fracture in 2016 when she saw the Paralympic Games on TV, inspired by fellow U.S. athlete Mikey Brannigan who also has autism. She competed at the 2017 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships where she qualified to represent Team USA for the first time later that summer at the World Para Athletics Championships...Daughter of Danny and Kathleen Hannigan-Bounds…Has a sister, Chelsie…Hobbies include running and Japanese anime.
