How did you get involved in the sport?
I got involved in Olympic Weightlifting after my sister’s volleyball coach insisted for her to do strength and conditioning. My mom read the application and I was forced to go along with her because it was for kids 10 and up.
What is your favorite lift in competition?
My favorite lift in competition would have to be the clean and jerk.
What is your greatest accomplishment/ achievement of your athletic career?
I don’t mean to boast, but I don’t think I could just pick one. I’d have to say my top three are; being the youngest american female to clean and jerk 100 kilos, being a 3 time consecutive-year national champion, and holding/breaking my own American Records.
Who have been your biggest supporters in your athletic career?
Throughout my athletic career, my biggest supporters without a doubt are, my family, teammates, coaches, and friends. I don’t think I’d be where I am today without all of their encouragement.
What is the best part about competing?
In my opinion, the best part about competing is getting to meet new people from all over the country. I get to interact with tons of people at weightlifting competitions. I also love the adrenaline that I get before and after lifts.
