    While John Oman is relatively new to the Paralympic Nordic skiing scene, he has a history of competitive success in adaptive sports. An above-elbow amputee, he played for the United States at the 2010 Amputee Hockey World Championships. ...Oman stays active no matter the season, as he also enjoys hiking, biking, running, camping, canoeing, softball, hunting and fishing....Oman earned his degree in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota and now works as a pricing manager at Medtronic, a tech company that specializes in medical devices and therapies.
