Grew up racing marathon canoes in the Midwest and was a National Champion in the 14 and under in 1979, went on the be on the National Team for 20 years and raced in numerous World Championships finishing 7thin Duisburg Germany 1995 C1 200m, and 9th in C1 500 Montreal Canada 1986, won Gold medals in the 1987 and 1995 Pan Am Games in C1 500, also won over 30 National Championship titles. Currently owns and operates Quickblade Paddles and is an avid Stand up Paddler.
